Today we continue our series entitled "Living the Grace Life," where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025. Key scriptures for this:

This morning, we continue our series on “The Parables of Jesus.” We will seek to glean “Pearls from the Parables.” Before we get to the parable, let’s look at a scripture we have been looking at all year. This is something I believe the Lord wants us to meditate on.

(Prov 28:7 CEV) It makes good sense to obey the Law of God, but you disgrace your parents if you make friends with worthless nobodies.

This morning we get back to our “Unlocking the Power of Proverbs – Walking in the Wisdom of God” series. I trust you enjoyed out break last week for Passion Week and that you also enjoyed your Resurrection Sunday celebration. I will never cease to give God praise for what Jesus did for me. My salvation is the most precious gift I have ever received. Okay, that’s enough. If I get to sharing about Jesus I won’t address this proverb. So let’s get to it.

(Prov 6:20 NIV) My son, keep your father’s commands and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.

(Prov 23:22-25 CEV) Pay attention to your father, and don’t neglect your mother when she grows old. Invest in truth and wisdom, discipline and good sense, and don’t part with them.

(Prov 23:13,14 GNB) Don’t hesitate to discipline children. A good spanking won’t kill them. As a matter of fact, it may save their lives.
