(Prov 23:22-25 CEV) Pay attention to your father, and don’t neglect your mother when she grows old. Invest in truth and wisdom, discipline and good sense, and don’t part with them.

(Prov 23:13,14 GNB) Don’t hesitate to discipline children. A good spanking won’t kill them. As a matter of fact, it may save their lives.

(Prov 22:15 NLT) A youngster’s heart is filled with foolishness, but physical discipline will drive it far away.
