Laying The Foundation for 2026 (Part 11): God Watches Over His Word

Today, we continue our focus on “THE YEAR OF DISCOVERY,” and we are embarking on a journey of growing in grace and in the knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Setting the Stage:

Last week, I attended a Pastors and Leaders Conference where my spiritual father, Apostle Tony Brazelton, taught extensively on the subject of recalibration. As I sat under that teaching, I realized that this is exactly where many of us are right now. We are in a season of recalibration.

Well, I’m teaching on discovery and God providing us with revelation. The whole point of the revelation is for us to receive it and then to make whatever adjustments are required to align with it. 

To recalibrate means to adjust, to realign, or to reset something back to its proper standard. Over time, it is easy to “drift” from the pure confidence we once had in God’s Word. We start off believing God for the impossible, but after a few disappointments or delays, we drift into a “logical” faith where we only believe God for what we can figure out.

Today, I believe God wants us recalibrate our faith back to His integrity. In Jeremiah 1:12, God declares that He is actively “watching over” His Word to perform it. I believe today, if you have drifted into stress and anxiety, I believe God is calling you back to the rest that comes from knowing He is the One performing the Word. God is committed to doing everything he planned to do in, with, and through us. 

So, what does this mean for you today? A few things.

1. Discovering the Power of a God Who Fulfills His Word.

We often stress out trying to “make” God’s Word happen. But Isaiah 55 teaches us that the Word has a mission. It is sent with an assignment. Once God speaks “healing,” “prosperity,” or “restoration” over your life, that Word goes to work, and God Himself is committed to ensuring it comes to pass!

How this applies to you:

— If God spoke to you about something and you’re wondering how that door is going to open, you must learn to rest. I have shared with you before that the highest form of faith is rest. You don’t have to force the door open; the Word God spoke acts as the supernatural key. If God said that He will perform it, and if God declared that He will make it good, so we must learn how to rest in God’s commitment to His Word. 

— Your job is not to perform the Word; your job is to believe the Word and trust that God Himself will bring it to pass.

— While I’m teaching you on discovery, the unfortunate reality is that oftentimes when God does speak to one of his children, and they do discover what he said, they then take on the pressure to perform the Word. This pressure actually becomes a burden that can block God from moving because there’s too much humanity in the way. In this season, not only do I want you to discover what God said, but I want you to learn how to rest in it.

— In 2026, we must trust the integrity of the message because of the integrity of the Messenger. Our confidence must be in God and not in our ability to perform what God said. If you want to have confidence in your ability, you should have confidence in God’s ability to work through you. 

— Rest in the fact that every word from God comes with the power to perform it. In other words, if God speaks a Word, then the grace to bring that word to pass has also been released with the word. Our job is to embrace the grace to either do what God tells us to do or to stand by and watch Him do it. 

— In this season of discovery, I want you to know that you are not walking with a silent God; you are walking with a speaking God who is watching over what He said to make sure it comes to pass in your life!

— Entering to this day trusting in a God who not only speaks but also backs up everything He says!

2. Discovering Your Identity Through God’s Opinion of You.

We often think faith is what we believe about God. But I have taught you many times that faith is actually about agreeing with what God believes about you. God speaks things over your life that seem impossible to your mind. If you try to process His Word through your logic, you will drift into fear, doubt, and unbelief. The Holy Spirit wants to recalibrate us this morning so we can stop arguing with God’s opinion of us and simply accept it. We must believe it by faith.

How this applies to you:

— When you say, “I can’t see myself doing that,” you are confessing what you believe, not what God believes. In other words, you are placing what you believe about you over what God believes about you, and you’re refusing to recalibrate or align with it. 

— God’s Word is a revelation of His absolute confidence in the plans He made for you before you were born. 

— The essence of the concept of discovery that I’m teaching you this year really boils down to getting to the point where you believe what God believes about you.

— The whole point about discovering things about God is that in the process, you also discover things about yourself. And when God reveals things to you about you that don’t match or don’t line up with your present state, you have to make a decision to recalibrate. You have to align yourself with what God has assigned you to do in this season. 

— Living by faith happens when your opinion of yourself finally catches up to God’s opinion of you.

— God may be declaring you a leader while you still see yourself as a follower. His Word reveals His absolute confidence in your capacity. Stop arguing with His assessment; embrace it, and you will unlock the grace to become who He’s called you to be. In other words, when God reveals to you that you are a leader, it is because the grace to lead is already in you. Your job is to exercise confidence in God’s opinion of you and open up your heart to it. 

— This is a season to recalibrate your self-image to match the Word God is watching over in your life.

— As you walk with God in this season of discovery, He will reveal the person He already believes you are. Your job is simply to agree with His assessment and believe what He believes about you. 

3. Discovering the Danger of Drifting Back.

Recalibration is not a one-time event; it is a lifestyle. Many believers have powerful moments where they align with God’s Word, but over time, they drift back into old thinking patterns. The enemy’s strategy is not always to attack you head-on; sometimes, he simply waits for you to drift. When you stop meditating on what God said, when you stop rehearsing His promises, you slowly return to a “logical” faith that only believes God for what you can see. God is calling us to stay anchored in what He revealed.

How this applies to you:

— Isaiah 53:6 says, “All we like sheep have gone astray.” How do sheep go astray? Not all at once, but little by little. One day you’re standing on the Word, and six months later you’re standing on your circumstances. Drifting doesn’t happen suddenly; it happens subtly. Guard your heart daily, constantly meditating on what God said.

— The reason many people don’t see the manifestation of God’s Word is not because God failed to perform; it’s because they drifted before the performance came.

— Stress and anxiety are indicators that you have drifted from rest. When you feel overwhelmed, it’s a signal to recalibrate back to the truth that God is watching over His Word. Remember, the highest form of faith is rest. 

— You cannot afford to let disappointment or delay talk you out of what God clearly spoke. The enemy uses time as a weapon to erode your confidence in God’s integrity. But remember, God is outside of time. One day to the Lord is like a thousand years with us. So if God said it, you have to believe it, no matter how long it takes. 

— Stay connected to people and environments that reinforce what God said. Drift often happens in isolation from a faith-filled community, which is why the local church matters. You need to surround yourself with people of like-precious-faith. 

— Every morning is an opportunity to reset your alignment with God’s Word. Don’t wait until you’re in crisis to recalibrate; make it a daily discipline.

— In this Year of Discovery, God is not just revealing new things; He’s calling you to hold fast to what He’s already shown you without wavering. In other words, not only is God going to speak new things to you and bring them to pass, but He’s also going to bring to pass every word He’s already spoken over your life. 

4. Discovering the Power of the “Two-Mouthed” Sword.

Discovery happens when you stop complaining about what you see and start saying what God said. This past week, at the Pastors and leaders conference I was at, Pastor Portia Taylor taught on Hebrews 4:12 (the two-edged sword). She taught about this scripture leading to the concept of a “two-mouthed sword” in the original Greek (distomos). God has already spoken (Mouth #1). Now, to see the Word performed, you must recalibrate your language and add your agreement to His declaration (Mouth #2).

Hebrews 4:12 TPT says: 

“For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts.”

How this applies to you:

— You cannot discover a new life while you are still using an old language. 

— Words matter! Check your conversation today; are you speaking your frustration, or are you speaking your future?

— When you speak the Word, you give the angels of God something to work with (Psalm 103:20).

— In this Year of Discovery, you must discover the creative power of declaring what God has decreed over your life!

— “Di-Stomos” means two mouths; God is often waiting for YOU to say it back to Him. 

— Just like 1st John 5:14-15 teaches us that God hears us when we pray anything in accordance with His will. While teaching on that, I told you to pray back to God the prayers He’s already prayed over you. It’s the same thing here. When you declare the Word, you’re putting God in remembrance of His Word, and you’re saying back to God what He’s already said over you. There is power in this because it expresses your confidence in God, and it also settles your heart. 

— In this season of discovery, commit right now that you will not only hear what God is saying, but you will agree with what God is saying in this season. After God speaks, you will express confidence that you believe he is the one who will bring it to pass in the fullness of time. Living in this way, you will experience God’s best in 2026.

Father, I thank You that You are watching over Your Word to perform it!

I recalibrate my life today, and I align my heart with Your original design for me.

I stop arguing with Your opinion of me, and I accept what You believe about me!

I declare that I am who You say I am, and I can do what You say I can do.

I receive supernatural understanding today; the eyes of my understanding are enlightened.

I add my mouth to Your mouth; I speak what You have spoken over my life.

I refuse to drift into doubt; I stay anchored in the truth that You are faithful.

I am Living the Grace Life, I am walking in prophetic alignment, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!
