Today, we continue our series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025.

As part of this series, I am teaching a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Galatians.

Key scriptures for this year:

(2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT)

"Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do."

(Galatians 5:4 TPT)

"If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!"

(Romans 6:14 ERV)

"Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God's grace."

(1 Corinthians 15:10 CEV)

"But God treated me with undeserved grace! He made me what I am, and his grace wasn't wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God's grace at work and not me."

Scripture we will study today:

(Galatians 3:16 TPT)

“Now, let’s be clear: the promises were made to Abraham and to his singular Seed. The word is ‘Seed’ and not ‘seeds,’ referring to one and not many—and that One is Christ.”

Supporting scriptures:

(Genesis 22:17-18 TPT)

“I will greatly multiply your seed like the stars in the heavens and the sand on the seashore. Your seed will possess the gates of their enemies. And through your seed all the nations of the earth will find blessing, because you have listened to my voice!”

(Acts 3:25-26 TPT)

“You are the heirs of the prophets and heirs of the covenant that God made with your ancestors when he promised Abraham, ‘Through your seed all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ For you are the first to receive this blessing when God raised up his Son and sent him to bless you by turning each one of you from your sins.”

(Romans 4:13 TPT)

“The promise to Abraham and his descendants that he would inherit the world did not come through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.”

(John 14:6 NIV)

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'”

(1 John 5:11-12 NIV)

“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life..”

Setting the Stage:

Yesterday, we discussed the fact that God’s covenant with Abraham is legally binding, unalterable, and cannot have conditions added to it. Today, as we continue in Paul’s letter, he drops a revelation that may blow your mind! Paul exposes a grammatical detail in God’s promise that changes EVERYTHING!

When God made His promise to Abraham, He didn’t say “seeds” (plural); He said “Seed” (singular)! This isn’t just grammar; this is REVELATION! God wasn’t talking about many descendants; He was talking about ONE specific descendant. That ONE descendant is Jesus the Christ! Everything God promised Abraham was ultimately about JESUS!

Here’s why this matters to YOU: if the promise was made to Christ, and you are IN Christ, then every promise God made to Abraham is YOURS through Jesus! You’re not an afterthought in God’s plan. You’re not trying to get blessed. You’re already connected to THE BLESSING through your relationship with the Singular Seed: Jesus Christ!

So, what does this mean for you today? A few things.

1. Every Promise God Made Was Ultimately About Jesus Christ.

Paul reveals that when God spoke to Abraham about his “Seed,” He wasn’t just talking about Abraham’s many descendants. He was prophetically pointing to ONE specific person: Jesus Christ! Every covenant promise God made to Abraham was designed to flow through and be fulfilled in Christ!

How this applies to you:

— Jesus is the centerpiece of God’s entire redemptive plan! Everything in the Old Testament was pointing toward Him. Every promise God made was designed to culminate in Him. Every covenant was preparing the way for Him. When you understand this, the entire Bible comes into focus!

— The promise wasn’t about a nation; it was about a Person! Religious people focus on maintaining traditions and following rules. But God’s focus has always been on ONE Person: His Son, Jesus Christ! When you get your eyes on Jesus, everything else falls into proper perspective!

— This means Jesus is not just part of God’s plan; He IS God’s plan! There is no Plan B. There is no alternative route to the Father. There is no backup system. Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life! Every blessing, every promise, every provision flows through Him and Him alone!

— Everything God promised Abraham finds its fulfillment in Christ! Prosperity? It’s in Christ. Protection? It’s in Christ. Purpose? It’s in Christ. Peace? It’s in Christ. Power? It’s in Christ. If you want what God promised, you must be connected to the One in whom the promises are fulfilled!

— This revelation eliminates all religious competition! People argue about which denomination is right, which tradition is superior, and which interpretation is correct. But Paul settles it: the promises are in the SEED. This SEED is singular! There is ONE way, ONE door, ONE Savior, and ONE Lord! Everything else is a distraction!

— You’re not working toward becoming something; you already ARE something in Christ! You’re not trying to earn God’s favor; you already HAVE God’s favor because you’re in the One to whom the promises were made!

— Your connection to Jesus makes you an heir of EVERYTHING God promised Abraham! Not because you’re good enough, but because you’re IN the One who is good enough! Not because you performed perfectly, but because you’re IN the One who performed perfectly! It’s all about HIM, and when you’re in HIM, it’s all about YOU, because your life is ALL ABOUT HIM!

2. You Access Every Promise Through Your Union With Christ.

If the promises were made to “the Seed” (singular), and that Seed is Christ, then the way you access those promises is by being IN Christ! Your union with Jesus is your access point to everything God promised. It’s not about what you DO; it’s about WHO you’re connected to!

How this applies to you:

— Being “in Christ” is not just religious language; it’s covenant reality! When you accepted Jesus, you were placed IN Him by the Holy Spirit. You’re not just associated with Him; you’re UNITED with Him! His victory is your victory. His righteousness is your righteousness. His access to the Father is your access to the Father! His death was even your death. The Bible says, “For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” (Colossians 3:3 NIV).

— Every promise in Scripture that applies to Christ now applies to you! If God said it about Jesus, it’s true about you because you’re IN Him. If God provided it for Jesus, it’s available to you because you’re IN Him. Now, some religious people may consider this presumption, but what it is is your position! Your position IN Christ gives you access to everything that belongs to Him!

— You’re not trying to get God to bless you; you’re receiving what Jesus already secured for you! The blessing isn’t something you earn; it’s something you inherit through your connection to the Singular Seed! Stop begging and start receiving! Stop performing and start possessing!

— This means your relationship with Christ is your most valuable asset! Not your education, not your connections, not your bank account, not your achievements. Your union with Christ is the key that unlocks EVERYTHING God promised! Protect that relationship. Nurture that relationship. Build your life around that relationship!

— When you pray, you’re not praying as an outsider trying to get in; you’re praying as an insider accessing what’s already yours! You come to the Father IN Christ’s name, with Christ’s authority, standing in Christ’s righteousness! That changes everything about how you approach God!

— The enemy can’t separate you from the promises because he can’t separate you from Christ! Once you’re IN Christ, you’re sealed with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). The devil may attack, but he cannot disconnect you from the Source of every blessing! Your connection to Jesus is permanent, and therefore, your access to the promises is permanent!

— This revelation removes all the pressure to perform! You’re not maintaining your access through good behavior. You’re not keeping God happy through religious activity. You’re IN Christ, and that union is not based on your performance but on His finished work! Rest in that truth!

3. There Is Only ONE Way to the Father and His Promises.

Jesus made it crystal clear: no one comes to the Father except through Him! Paul reinforces this by showing that the promise was made to the Singular Seed: not many seeds, but ONE. This means there’s no alternate route, no backup plan, no secondary system for accessing God’s promises!

How this applies to you:

— Religious pluralism is a lie from the pit of hell! The world says all roads lead to God. The Bible says ONE road leads to God, and His name is Jesus! Don’t let culture, political correctness, or religious tolerance water down this truth. There is ONE way, and you’re standing on it! If you are Born-Again, you are standing IN IT!

— You can’t earn your way to God through good works! Being a good person doesn’t get you to the Father. Helping the poor doesn’t get you to the Father. Following religious traditions doesn’t get you to the Father. Only faith in Jesus Christ connects you to the Father and the promises made to Abraham!

— Your denominations, traditions, and religious affiliations don’t save you! What saves you is your relationship with the Singular Seed: Jesus the Christ! You can be Baptist, Pentecostal, Catholic, or non-denominational, but if you’re not IN Christ, you’re not connected to the promise!

— This truth makes Christianity exclusive and inclusive at the same time! Exclusive because there’s only ONE way. Inclusive because ANYONE who comes to Christ can access EVERYTHING God promised! It doesn’t matter your background, your past, your race, your status. If you’re in Christ, you’re IN!

— The Law can’t get you there. Religious performance can’t get you there. Only JESUS can get you there! The Judaizers were trying to add the Law to the promise. Paul says absolutely not! The promise came through the Singular Seed, not through many religious requirements. It’s JESUS or nothing!

— When you share your faith, you’re not promoting a religion; you’re pointing people to a Person! Christianity isn’t about following rules; it’s about knowing Jesus! When people encounter Christ, they encounter the fulfillment of every promise God ever made!

— Your confidence on judgment day won’t be in what you did; it will be in WHO you knew! 1 John 5:12 says it plainly: whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life. It’s not complicated. It’s not confusing. It’s clear: everything depends on your relationship with Jesus!

4. When You’re in Christ, You Inherit Everything God Promised Abraham.

Here’s where this gets REALLY exciting! Since the promise was made to the Singular Seed (Christ), and you are IN Christ, then you are an heir of everything God promised! You’re not a second-class citizen. You’re not an afterthought. You’re a full-fledged heir with complete access to the covenant promises! The same BLESSING that is on the Jews is on you when you are in Christ!

How this applies to you:

— You inherit the promise without having to keep the Law! Abraham received the promise by faith 430 years before the Law was given. You receive the promise by faith in the One to whom the promise was made: Jesus! No Law keeping required. No religious performance necessary. Just faith in Christ!

— The blessing of Abraham includes financial provision, supernatural protection, divine health, living with purpose, and global impact! All of that is yours through Christ! Not because you’re perfect, but because you’re positioned IN the Perfect One! Not because you earned it, but because Jesus secured it!

— You’re not just blessed; you are a blessing! God told Abraham, “Through your seed all the nations of the earth will be blessed.” You’re IN that Seed! That means God wants to bless you so you can BE a blessing to others! Your prosperity has purpose. God’s provision for you comes with a plan. Your success has a mission! You are on this planet to represent God, glorify His name, and advance His Kingdom by doing your part (which is fulfilling your divine assignment).

— Every day you wake up, you’re waking up as an heir! You’re not hoping to become an heir someday. You’re not working to qualify as an heir. You ARE an heir right now through your union with Christ! Start thinking like an heir. Start talking like an heir. Start living like an heir!

— The inheritance isn’t just for heaven; it’s for right now! Yes, there are eternal promises we’ll enjoy in heaven. But there are covenant blessings designed for you to walk in TODAY!

That's enough for today.
