Today, we continue our focus on THE YEAR OF DISCOVERY, as we learn to maintain our posture of faith after God has revealed His plans for our future.

As part of this series, I am teaching a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Galatians.

Key scriptures for this year:

2 Peter 3:18 GNT“But continue to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Savior, Jesus Christ. To Him be glory now and forever.”

Luke 10:20 Mirror“It’s time for you to rediscover who you are from Heaven’s perspective.”

1 John 3:10 Mirror“There is a very visible and vast difference between living one’s life from your God identity or from a fallen man’s mindset.”

Proverbs 25:2 NKJV“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”

Jeremiah 29:13 NIV“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

Scripture we will study today:

Galatians 6:9 ERV“We must not get tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up!”

Supporting scriptures:

Psalm 77:11-12 NKJV“I will remember the works of the Lord; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds.”

Proverbs 18:21 NIV“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

1 Kings 19:5-7 NIV“Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat.’ He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. The angel of the Lord came back a second time and touched him and said, ‘Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you.'”

Psalm 62:8 NIV“Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.”

2 Chronicles 20:21-22 NIV“Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army… As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated.”

Setting the Stage:

We have spent the last 12 messages studying Galatians 6:9. We have looked at what weariness is after, what it does to your sowing, what it does to your vision, and how grace meets you right in the middle of the wait. Today and tomorrow, I want to do something different.

I want to hand you a practical list. No long exposition. No deep-dive paragraphs. Just 20 ways to overcome weariness, 10 today and 10 tomorrow. These are not theories. These are very practical and they will help you tap into the grace of God. Here are the first 10.

So, what does this mean for you today? A few things.

1. Remember What God Said. Go Back To The Original Word.

— Weariness causes spiritual amnesia. The antidote is deliberate remembering. Psalm 77:11 says, “I will remember.” That “I will” is a decision, not a feeling.

— Pull up the journal entry. Read the prayer. Listen to the message again. The original word has not expired just because you forgot about it. God’s promise for your life is irrevocable.

— Some of you do not need a new word. You need to go back and stand on the last one He gave you.

2. Speak The Promise Out Loud.

— Your faith increases when you hear your own mouth agree with God. Proverbs 18:21 says the tongue has the power of life and death. Use yours for life.

— Silence is where weariness grows. Speaking the Word out loud and hearing it leave your lips, come back into your ears, and settle into your heart will cause the weariness to dissipate.

— Quit giving your situation the last word. Give God’s Word the last word out of your mouth every single day.

3. Feed Your Body. Rest Your Soul. Strengthen Your Spirit.

— Elijah wanted to die under a tree, and God’s first response was not a Word. It was bread, water, and sleep. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is have a good meal, pause to rest, and then go to bed.

— You cannot sow in faith when your soul is starving. Grace restores you before it redirects you. God restored Elijah, and then he redirected him, and Elijah went on to fulfill God’s purpose.

— Take care of the body God gave you. Your spirituality is connected to your humanity. God made you as a spirit who lives in a body. God made both, and you need both.

4. Rest Like It’s An Act Of Faith.

— Rest is not quitting. Rest is trusting that God is still working while you stop working.

— When you refuse to rest, you are telling God you do not trust Him to hold the plan without you. That is not faith; that is fear causing unnecessary stress. And that is a person who has more confidence in their humanity than in God’s divinity.

— The highest form of faith is rest. Sweatless victory. Strain and stress-free because the power is from God and not from us.

5. Pour Out Your Heart To God In Honest Lament.

— Psalm 62:8 says, “Pour out your heart to Him.” Not a polished prayer. An honest, and sometimes RAW, prayer.

— Pretending is more offensive to God than asking. Religion rewards the mask. Grace welcomes the face under it.

— If you are still talking to God in the wait, you are still in faith because you are still engaged. The enemy wants you quiet. Heaven wants you honest.

6. Refuse To Complain Sideways.

— Lament is vertical. Complaining is horizontal. Lament walks you toward God. Complaining walks you away, and it drags others with you. When you lament, you are casting your cares and the weight of them upon God. When you complain, you are spreading your mess in the hearts of other people.

— Israel complained and circled the wilderness for 40 years. David lamented and walked to the throne. Same raw material. Two different directions.

— Having friends is part of God’s will. You were not designed to do this on your own. But don’t use the hearts of your friends as a trash can that should be available for you to dump your trash into whenever you want to. There are some things that you will have to cast over to the Lord.

— Before you open your mouth about what is hard, ask yourself: Am I speaking TO God or ABOUT God? Point your mouth UP!

7. Anchor In God’s Character, Not Your Circumstances.

— The way you turn the corner from lamenting to praising is not by focusing on your own strength. David said, “But I trusted His unfailing love.” After you express your frustrations to the Lord, use the word “but” to redirect your focus, and then remember to trust in God and his dedication to you. God is more dedicated to you than you are dedicated to yourself!.

— Your track record is inconsistent. God’s is flawless. Settle your confidence in God. Living #TheGraceLife it’s all about making your life about Him and not you. It is about His strength, His power, His love, His plans, and His destiny for your life; and when you couple that with His dedication to you, your life becomes ALL ABOUT HIM!

— Lamentations 3:22-23 was written while Jerusalem was a pile of rubble, and Jeremiah still said, “His mercies are new every morning.” This is a reminder that when you’re going through something difficult, or maybe even a terrible moment, God’s character and his love and his dedication to you have not changed.

8. Praise BEFORE The Breakthrough – Give God PRE-Performance Praise!

— Psalm 13 does not end with a changed circumstance. It ends with a changed posture. “I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me.”

— Praise is not a denial of the pain. Praise is the declaration of who God is inside the pain.

— The mouth that sings before the miracle is the mouth that ends up with the miracle.

9. Worship Your Way Through The Battle.

— Jehoshaphat put the singers in front of the army. 2 Chronicles 20 says that while they sang, the enemy destroyed itself.

— Paul and Silas sang at midnight in a Philippian prison. They did not sing because the chains broke. The chains broke because they sang.

— Your mouth can move what your hands cannot. Worship is a weapon, not a warm-up.

10. Build A Repository of Testimonies And Review It Often.

— Weariness erases your memory of God’s faithfulness. Your testimony is the receipt that says, “He has done it before.”

— If you “keep receipts,” then when weariness whispers “nothing is working,” you can go read the evidence that the devil is a liar!

— God has always come through. God is coming through now. Your past is a prophecy of your future.

That’s enough for today. Tomorrow, we go after 10 more.

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I thank You that weariness does not get the final word in my life.

I remember what You said, and I speak Your promises out loud over my circumstances.

I eat, I rest, and I receive the strength You provide for the next leg of my journey.

I rest like it is an act of faith, because I trust You to keep working while I stop working.

I pour out my heart to You in honest lament, and I refuse to complain sideways.

I anchor in Your character, not my circumstances, and Your unfailing love is my bridge.

I praise before the breakthrough, because faith sings in the hallway.

I worship my way through the battle, and I put praise in front of my problems.

I build a testimony bank, and I review the evidence every time weariness tries to lie to me.

I am living in THE YEAR OF DISCOVERY, I am living THE GRACE LIFE, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word. Apply it and prosper!
