Today, we continue our series entitled “Living the Grace Life,” where we will learn to embrace and walk in God’s unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor throughout 2025.

As part of this series, I am teaching a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Galatians.

Key scriptures for this year:

(2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT)

"Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do."

(Galatians 5:4 TPT)

"If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!"

(Romans 6:14 ERV)

"Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God's grace."

(1 Corinthians 15:10 CEV)

"But God treated me with undeserved grace! He made me what I am, and his grace wasn't wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God's grace at work and not me."

Scripture we will study today:

(Galatians 3:18 TPT)

“For if our inheritance of the promises of God depends upon the keeping of the Law, it wouldn’t be the result of God’s promise to us. But God surely did give it to Abraham and to us through the promise!”

Supporting scriptures:

(Isaiah 55:8-9 TPT)

“‘My thoughts about mercy are not like your thoughts, and my ways are different from yours. As high as the heavens are above the earth, so my ways and my thoughts are higher than yours.'”

(Psalm 27:13-14 NIV)

“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”

(Ecclesiastes 3:11 TPT)

“Yet God has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also placed in our hearts a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy.”

(Romans 8:28 TPT)

“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.”

(Lamentations 3:25-26 NIV)

“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.”

(Proverbs 19:21 NIV)

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”

(Jeremiah 29:11 TPT)

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'”

Setting the Stage:

This is our 100th message in the Grace in Galatians series! What a milestone! We’re still mining the gold from Galatians 3:18, and today I want to continue building on what we learned Friday. Friday’s message was inspired by Dr. David Yonggi Cho’s powerful teaching on rest and trust, and today we’re going deeper into another aspect of promise-based living.

Here’s what you need to understand: when you live by faith in God’s promise instead of the Law, you learn to trust God’s timing, not just His promises! Under Law-based living, you think you have to make things happen by your effort and in your timing. But under grace-based living, you understand that God’s delays are not denials; they’re part of His divine orchestration!

Many times, we panic because we think silence means absence. But silence is often the sign that God is working behind the scenes! When you can’t see movement, it doesn’t mean nothing is happening. It means the foundation is being laid where your eyes cannot see! Like a seed buried under the soil, it looks dead from the surface, but life is growing beneath!

Jesus taught this principle in Mark 4:26-28. He said the Kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground and then goes to sleep. Night and day, whether he’s awake or asleep, the seed is working; and he doesn’t even understand how it’s working! The earth produces the crop by itself: first the blade, then the head, then the full grain. This is #TheGraceLife! The seed is working even when you’re sleeping. God’s promises are developing even when you can’t see or understand the process. Your job is to plant the seed by faith and then rest, trusting that God’s grace is producing the harvest!

So, what does this mean for you today? A few things.

1. God’s Silence Doesn’t Mean Absence; It Means He’s Working In Ways You Cannot See.

So many times, we panic when we don’t see or hear anything from God. We think if He’s not speaking, He’s not moving. But that’s not true! Oftentimes, God’s greatest work happens in silence, where you can’t see it!

How this applies to you:

— Under Law-based thinking, you believe you have to keep performing to keep God’s attention. If you don’t hear from Him, you assume you did something wrong or He’s disappointed with you. But that’s performance-based anxiety! Under grace, you know God is always working on your behalf, whether you see it or not, because His promise doesn’t depend on your perfection!

— Think about how a seed grows. You plant it in the ground, and then for days, weeks, sometimes months, you see nothing! The surface looks dead. But beneath the soil, life is growing! Roots are spreading! The seed is working! The foundation is being established! And when the time is right, breakthrough comes! That’s exactly how God’s promises work in your life!

— Ecclesiastes 3:11 says God has “made everything beautiful in its time!” Not in YOUR time, but in HIS time! This means there’s a divine timeline for your destiny, and God is orchestrating details you don’t even know exist yet!

— When God is silent, it doesn’t mean He’s absent. It means He’s busy arranging things! He’s speaking your name in rooms your feet have never walked in! He’s preparing hearts, opening doors, and aligning details! You cannot see it now, but He’s already ahead of you, setting the stage for your arrival!

— Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD!” This isn’t passive waiting. This is active trust! You’re not sitting around doing nothing; you’re staying strong in faith while God works behind the scenes! You are building up your faith in the truth that God never fails!

— Many believers give up right before their breakthrough because they can’t see evidence of progress. But faith is the evidence of things not seen! Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening!

— Stop interpreting God’s silence as absence or disapproval! God’s silence simply means the work is happening in a realm you cannot see yet! Keep trusting the promise! Keep standing in faith! What God promised, He WILL perform, and it will manifest at exactly the right time! To believe this and live by it requires faith. And “by faith” is how we are supposed to live.

2. Closed Doors Are Often Divine Protection, Not Rejection.

Sometimes God will deliberately close doors, not because He wants to punish you, but because He wants to protect you from things that are outside of His will! What you think is rejection is often God’s protection!

How this applies to you:

— You may cry over what didn’t work out. You may mourn over who left. You may be frustrated about the opportunity that didn’t open. But one day, you’ll look back and realize: if that door had opened, I would have destroyed you! God saw what you couldn’t see. He knew your heart was too valuable to be wasted in the wrong place!

— Romans 8:28 promises that ALL things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose! Even the closed doors! Even the disappointments! Even what looks like setbacks! God is weaving it all together for your ultimate good, even when you can’t see the pattern yet!

— Here’s the truth: God’s protection is sometimes disguised as rejection! That relationship that didn’t work out? God was protecting you! That job you didn’t get? God was redirecting you! That opportunity that fell through? God was preserving you for something better! Stop mourning what God deliberately removed from your path!

— Proverbs 19:21 says you may have many ideas about God’s plan for your life, but only the designs of God’s purpose will succeed! This means your good ideas will fail if they’re not God’s idea! And that’s a BLESSING! You don’t want your plans to succeed if they’re not aligned with God’s purpose! You should only want what God wants for you!

— Every “NO” you’ve received has been preparing you for a greater “YES!” Every door that closed was redirecting you toward the right door! Every disappointment was actually an appointment with God’s better plan! You just couldn’t see it at the time!

— Stop resenting closed doors! Start thanking God for them! Those closed doors are proof that God loves you too much to let you settle for less than His best! What didn’t work out wasn’t your destiny; it was a detour protecting you from disaster! Trust His redirections!

— It takes faith to believe this point. When you are Law-minded and a door is closed, you think you failed, you messed up, you caused it to close, and you take on all the pressure to perform. But when you live faith-based, you realize that God loves you enough to keep you from things (even things you begged Him for) when they were not His best for your life!

3. What’s Meant for You Cannot Miss You; What Misses You Was Never Yours.

This revelation will set you FREE! When you understand that when you are living by faith and being led by the Holy Spirit, nothing truly yours can ever pass you by. So, you stop chasing, stop forcing, and stop stressing! You relax in the confidence that divine appointments are inevitable! If it is yours, it is coming, and it is only a matter of time!

How this applies to you:

— Under Law-based living, you think you have to fight for everything, chase every opportunity, and make sure you don’t miss out. But under grace-based living, you understand that what God has assigned to you will find you! You don’t have to chase your purpose; when you walk in obedience, purpose will chase you!

— Here’s what Paul is teaching in Galatians 3:18: your inheritance is already guaranteed by God’s promise! It’s not conditional! It’s not dependent on you being in the right place at the right time! God SURELY gave it, which means it’s locked in! Nothing can stop what God has promised you!

— This means if a relationship walked away, it wasn’t part of your covenant inheritance! If an opportunity disappeared, it wasn’t your divine assignment! If a deal fell apart, it was not your deal in the first place! Stop trying to resurrect what God deliberately let die! What’s meant for you cannot miss you!

— Jeremiah 29:11 declares that God knows the plans He has for you; plans for good, not disaster! Plans to give you a future and a hope! This means God is not playing games with your destiny! He’s not hiding your blessings! He’s not making it difficult for you! Everything He has for you is coming; you just have to trust His timing!

— Think about how liberating this is! You don’t have to worry about missing your destiny! You don’t have to panic about opportunities passing you by! You don’t have to manipulate circumstances or force doors open! What God has for you is for you, and it will come to you at the appointed time!

— This is why you can relax! This is why you can rest! This is why you can trust! Because what belongs to you has your name on it, and no one can take it! What’s written in your story cannot be erased! What God has assigned to you cannot be reassigned! Your inheritance is secure!

— Stop living with the fear of missing out (FOMO)! Stop chasing what’s not chasing you! Stop forcing connections that God is not orchestrating! Start resting in the confidence that everything meant for you is already on its way, and when it arrives, you’ll know it was worth the wait! This is #TheGraceLife!

4. Waiting Seasons Are Not Wasted Seasons!

Here’s a truth that will change how you view delays: waiting time is not wasted time; it is a season of sacred preparation! God doesn’t make you wait to frustrate you. He makes you wait to prepare you for the weight of what’s coming!

How this applies to you:

— If God gives you what you are asking for, before you are ready to receive it, then what should be a BLESSING will wind up being a BURDEN!

— You may think a delay is a curse, but it’s actually divine mercy! If God gave you what you wanted too soon, it would destroy you! You’re still being shaped, still being prepared, still being developed! The blessing you’re waiting for requires a version of you that doesn’t exist yet! God is building that version during the wait!

— Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts! This means His timing is higher than your timing!

— Here’s what I’ve learned through decades of ministry: every season of waiting has produced something in me that the season of blessing required! The waiting wasn’t punishment; it was preparation! God was developing my character, testing my trust, and expanding my capacity to believe Him for what He was about to release!

— Think about Joseph. He had a dream at 17 but didn’t see it fulfilled until he was 30! Thirteen years of waiting! But those years weren’t wasted. Every hardship, every betrayal, every disappointment was shaping the leader Egypt would need! If God had promoted him at 17, he wouldn’t have been ready for the palace at 30!

— The same is true for you! You may be frustrated by how long it’s taking, but God is not late. If you are frustrated, it is becuase you are early. You are not ready yet! And that’s not an insult; that’s wisdom! God loves you too much to promote you before you’re prepared!

— In your season of waiting, God is developing the strength of your character to match the size of your calling!

That's enough for today.

Declaration of Faith:

Father, I thank You that Your silence doesn’t mean absence; You’re working behind the scenes!

I trust Your divine timing, knowing that delays are not denials!

Closed doors are not rejection; they’re Your protection redirecting me to Your best!

What’s meant for me cannot miss me, and what misses me was never mine!

I refuse to chase what’s not chasing me or force what You’re not orchestrating!

I embrace my waiting season as sacred preparation, not wasted time!

Every delay, every closed door, every disappointment is working for my good!

I am not frustrated by God’s timing; I’m grateful for His wisdom!

My inheritance is guaranteed by promise, and it will manifest at the perfect time!

I am Living the Grace Life, and GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!

I declare this by faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

This is Today’s Word. Apply it and prosper!
