Today, we conclude our series entitled "Living the Grace Life," where we have spent the entire year learning to embrace and walk in God's unmerited, unearned, and often undeserved favor.
As we close the door on 2025, I want to take a moment to pause and reflect on the journey we have taken together. We spent months walking verse-by-verse through the book of Galatians, and the Holy Spirit has been surgically removing the cancer of legalism from our hearts. Why? So that we could truly learn to Walk in the Spirit.
Living the Grace Life is synonymous with Walking in the Spirit. You cannot do one without the other. You cannot be led by the Spirit if you are still trying to be justified by the Law. And you cannot enjoy the freedom of Grace if you are not yielding to the Spirit within.
As we prepare to cross over into 2026, I want to solidify the four major pillars of truth we established this year. These are the foundations of a Spirit-led life.
Key scriptures for this year:
(2 Corinthians 9:8 TPT)
"Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do."
(Galatians 5:4 TPT)
"If you want to be made right with God by fulfilling the obligations of the law, you have cut off more than your flesh—you have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from the revelation of grace!"
(Romans 6:14 ERV)
"Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God's grace."
(1 Corinthians 15:10 CEV)
"But God treated me with undeserved grace! He made me what I am, and his grace wasn't wasted. I worked much harder than any of the other apostles, although it was really God's grace at work and not me."
Scripture we will study today:
(Galatians 5:16, 25 TPT)
"As you yield freely and fully to the dynamic life and power of the Holy Spirit, you will abandon the cravings of your self-life... If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit's leading in every part of our lives."
So, what does this mean for you today? As we look back at 2025, here are the four major shifts we made to Walk in the Spirit and Live the Grace Life.
1. We Shifted Our Identity: From Servants Under the Law to Sons Led by the Spirit.
The most critical revelation of 2025 was understanding our status change. We learned that the Law was a "guardian" designed for spiritual infants. But when faith came, we graduated! Romans 8:14 tells us, "For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God." You cannot walk in the Spirit if you still see yourself as a servant trying to earn wages. Servants follow rules; Sons follow the Spirit.
How this applies to you:
— You stopped trying to earn your place in God's family through performance
— You realized that your sonship is based on birth, not behavior; position, not performance.
— The pressure to perform was replaced by the peace of belonging and trust in God’s commitment to you (He is more committed to you than you are to Him).
— You learned that God is not a distant boss managing you, but a loving Father leading you.
— When you approach God now, you change the mindset from that of approaching a judge in a courtroom to one that is more like approaching a Father in the living room.
— You embraced the truth that you are an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ.
— You stopped asking God to bless you "if" you were good enough, and started receiving because Jesus was good enough.
— You are entering 2026 not as a slave to rules, but as a mature son/daughter who is led by the Holy Spirit.
— This shift in mindset will change the way you experience 2026 and beyond!
2. We Shifted Our Focus: From External Rules to Internal Guidance.
This year, we dismantled the idea that spirituality is about following a list of "do's and don'ts" on a wall. We learned that under the New Covenant, God replaced the external tablets of stone with the internal presence of the Holy Spirit. To "Walk in the Spirit" means you stop looking for external validation and start listening to the witness within.
How this applies to you:
— You learned that the Holy Spirit is your internal guide, teacher, and empowerer.
— You realized that "not sinning" is too low of a goal; your goal is fulfilling your divine purpose while you are on this planet.
— We discovered that the Law can reveal sin, but it has no power to fix it; only the Spirit of Grace does.
— You shifted from compliance-based Christianity to connection-based Christianity.
— You understood that when you are led by the Spirit, you naturally fulfill the righteous requirements of the Law.
— You learned that the Spirit will never lead you contrary to the Word, but He will lead you into a life superior to the Law.
— You are entering 2026 with the confidence that you have the mind of Christ living on the inside of you. This mindset says, “Without God, I can do nothing. But with Him, I am empowered to do all things!”
3. We Shifted Our Expectation: The Spirit Leads Us into the Blessing.
One of the most powerful parts of our journey was realizing that being "IN Christ" makes us Abraham's true seed. We learned that the Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14). When you walk in the Spirit, He leads you into the "natural" blessings of provision, protection, and multiplication (The Blessing of Abraham) that belong to you by faith.
How this applies to you:
— You realized that poverty and lack are not consistent with your inheritance in Christ.
— You learned that Abraham’s blessing was never based on the Law; it came 430 years before the Law!
— You started to intentionally declare that you are blessed in the city and blessed in the field.
— You understood that Jesus redeemed you from the curse of the Law (poverty, sickness, and spiritual death).
— You stopped accepting struggle as "God's will" and started standing on God's promises. Because you learned that God will allow whatever you allow; He will permit whatever you permit. If you accept living beneath God’s best, God will unfortunately watch as you struggle.
— You learned that you are blessed to BE a blessing to all the families of the earth.
— You are entering 2026 with the expectation that resources will hunt you down because you are walking in the Spirit.
4. We Shifted Our Perspective: Walking in the Spirit Means Resting in the Finished Work.
Finally, the overarching theme of "Living the Grace Life" has been about REST. Walking in the Spirit is not about striving; it is about yielding. We learned that faith is not trying to twist God's arm to do something new; faith is the hand that receives what Grace has already provided.
How this applies to you:
— You stopped begging God to do what He already did through the Cross.
— You learned that grace is God’s part (He gives), and faith is your part (you receive).
— You realized that God finished His work before the foundations of the world, so you are walking out a finished work.
— You embraced the truth that you are fighting from victory, not for victory.
— You learned to rest in the middle of the storm because you know the end of the story.
— You understood that your labor is not to "work" for the blessing, but to labor to enter into rest.
— You are entering 2026 with a settled confidence that GREATER IS COMING because it's already prepared!
That's enough for today. And that is enough for 2025!
I want to thank you for allowing me to speak into your life this year. It is one of the greatest honors of my life to share God's Word with you. As we turn the page to a new year, do not leave these lessons behind. Carry them with you. You are a Son/Daughter. You are Led by the Spirit. You are Abraham's Seed. And You are Redeemed.
I love you, I am praying for you, and I am excited about what God is going to do in your life in the next season.
Declaration of Faith:
Father, I thank You for the revelation of Your Grace that has transformed my life in 2025!
I declare that I am closing out this year, walking in the Spirit!
I have graduated from the mindset of a servant to the confidence of a SON.
I am not governed by external rules; I am LED by Your internal Holy Spirit.
I am Abraham's seed, and I intentionally receive the fullness of the Blessing—both spiritual and natural!
I am redeemed from the curse, and I walk in the favor that surrounds me like a shield.
I stop striving and I start RESTING in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
I leave the failures of the past behind and step into the future with high expectations.
I am Living the Grace Life, and I declare that 2026 will be my best year yet because GREATER IS COMING FOR ME!
I declare this by faith. In Jesus' name. Amen!
This is Today's Word. Apply it and prosper!
