Grace Is God's Part. Faith Is Our Part.

Faith is not a religious effort to make God move. Faith is how you respond to a God who has already moved by grace.

God operates toward you by grace. Grace is unmerited, undeserved, and unearned. If you can earn it, it is not grace. Everything God provided through Jesus comes to you by grace. Your part is to receive it, believe it, and walk in it by faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 TPT

"For it was only through this wonderful grace that we believed in him. Nothing we did could ever earn this salvation, for it was the gracious gift from God that brought us to Christ! So no one will ever be able to boast, for salvation is never a reward for good works."

Grace made the provision. Faith takes delivery of it.

Romans 5:1-2 NIV

"Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God."

Did you catch that? We gain access by faith into the grace in which we stand. Faith is not payment for grace. Faith is not a good work that earns a response from God. Faith is our agreement with what God has already decided, declared, and provided.

Religion says, "God, if I am good enough, please help me." Grace-based faith says, "Father, You are good. I believe and receive what You have already provided."

That shift changes everything. Your focus moves from your goodness to His goodness, from your performance to Jesus' finished work, and from pressure to rest.

What Is Faith?

Faith is how you see, agree with, and access the unseen reality of God.

Here is the way I have taught it for years:

- Faith is time accessing eternity.
- Faith is earth agreeing with heaven.
- Faith is the legal entrance into the realm of the invisible.

God is not limited by time. He sees the end from the beginning. What is still in your future has already been settled in Him. By faith, God allows you to see what He planned, agree with it in your heart, and walk it out on the earth.

2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV

"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Faith does not pretend the facts are not real. Faith simply refuses to give temporary facts the final word. A diagnosis may be real. A financial challenge may be real. A closed door may be real. But none of those things carries more authority than what God revealed and what His grace provided.

This is why faith begins where the will of God is known. You cannot stand in faith for something God has not revealed. He reveals His will through His written Word and by His Spirit. Once He shows you what He planned, that revelation becomes your authorization to participate.

Here is the key: Revelation is authorization for participation.

Do not bring God your plan and ask Him to bless it. Ask the Father to show you what He is already doing and what He has already blessed. When He reveals it, align with Him. By grace it is already provided. By faith you discover it. By faith you access it. By faith you walk it out.

Faith Is Confidence In God

You have to know where your faith is pointed. Biblical faith is not faith in faith. It is not faith in a formula, a confession, another person, or your ability to remain strong. Jesus made it simple.

Mark 11:22 NKJV

"So Jesus answered and said to them, 'Have faith in God.'"

The highest level of faith is confidence in the person of God Himself. You believe what you see Him do. You believe what you read in His Word. You believe what He speaks to your heart. But your relationship with the Father takes you even further. When you cannot see, when you do not understand, and when you have not received the next instruction yet, you still trust Him.

Your confidence is not in man, because people can let you down. Your confidence is not in yourself, because you know your own weaknesses. Your confidence is not in your perfect performance, because Jesus is the only One who performed perfectly. Your confidence is in God, His character, His Word, and the purpose He placed in you before the world began.

1 John 5:14-15 AMPC

"And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him."

Your confidence is not built on your perfect performance. It is built on God's perfect faithfulness.

How Do You Live By Faith?

The Bible does not tell the just to visit faith occasionally. It tells us to live by faith. Faith is not your emergency response. It is your daily way of life.

1. Find Out What God Said

Faith begins with revelation. Read the Word with a believing heart. Meditate on it. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you how God's truth applies to your life, your family, your health, your calling, and your future.

The WORD of GOD is the WILL of GOD on paper. When you discover what the Word says about your situation, you discover the Father's heart. Then stay open to what the Holy Spirit is saying to you today. Jesus lived by what the Father was saying and by what He saw the Father doing.

The written Word gives you a foundation. The voice of the Holy Spirit gives you daily direction. Your relationship with the Father gives you confidence in the One who spoke.

2. Choose Spirit Over Sight

2 Corinthians 5:7 ERV

"We live by what we believe will happen, not by what we can see."

Your natural senses keep feeding you information from this world, and your spirit has been made alive in Christ so you can relate to God Spirit-to-spirit. Every day, you decide which source of information will govern your life.

Walking by sight means natural circumstances get the final word. Walking by faith means God's revelation gets the final word. You do not ignore the facts. You submit the facts to the truth God revealed.

When what you see and what God said do not line up, God's Word is still true.

3. Believe In Your Heart And Speak With Your Mouth

2 Corinthians 4:13 TPT

"We have that same Spirit of faith that is described in the Scriptures when it says, 'First I believed, then I spoke in faith.' So we also first believe then speak in faith."

The spirit of faith operates in your heart and in your mouth. You believe first. Then you speak what you believe.

Faith is voice-activated. That does not mean you use words to manipulate God. You are not commanding God to do anything. You are coming into agreement with Him. Your words should sound like heaven's words because your heart has embraced heaven's reality.

The language of faith says, "IT'S ALREADY DONE!" The language of doubt says, "I hope God decides to do it." Faith understands that grace already made the provision. Your confession is not performance. It is obedience and agreement.

Speak what God says about your identity. Speak what He says about your assignment. Speak what He says about your future. Never allow what you see to make you change what God led you to say.

4. Put Action Behind What You Believe

Faith rests in God while obeying Him. When God tells you to move, you move. When He tells you to apply, call, give, forgive, go, build, or wait, you obey.

Obedience is not performance. Performance says, "I am doing this to earn God's blessing." Obedience says, "God has already blessed me by grace, and I am responding to His direction by faith."

If God calls you to do something beyond your natural ability, He is not asking you to perform it alone. His call comes with His power. His Word contains the grace to accomplish what He commanded. Your responsibility is to believe Him and take the next step.

Faith believes what God said and takes the next step, even when it looks impossible in the natural.

5. Add Patience To Your Faith

Hebrews 6:12 TPT

"So don't allow an attitude of laziness to set in, but be faithful followers of those who through faith and patience inherited the promises."

There is usually time between revelation and manifestation. Faith believes what God said. Patience keeps believing for as long as it takes.

Faith without patience gets excited but gives up before the harvest. Patience without faith endures but never expects change. You need both. Faith gives you expectation. Patience gives your expectation endurance.

While you wait to see in your hands what God revealed in your heart, keep meditating on His Word. Keep speaking what He said. Keep obeying the last instruction. Do not manufacture a result, and do not abandon the promise.

6. Enter God's Rest

The highest form of faith is rest. Rest does not mean inactivity. It means you have stopped striving to make God do what He already said He would do.

You have prayed. You have obeyed. You have done what the Holy Spirit led you to do. Now your confidence is in God. Pressure lifts because the outcome does not depend on your perfection. You can work without worry, wait without fear, and obey without trying to earn.

Things may not happen the way you expected. The process may take longer than you wanted. You may face challenges you never imagined. But none of that changes God. You are not moved, because your faith is in Him and you know He will finish what He started in you.

Have Faith In God

Grace is God's part. Faith is your part.

Receive what grace has provided. Believe what God has revealed. Speak what He has declared. Do what He instructs. Add patience to your faith. Then rest in the character of the One who made the promise.

Faith is not about getting God to respond to you. Faith is your response to God.

Grace says, "I have already provided it."

Faith says, "Father, I believe You. I receive it. I will walk it out."

That is how you live by faith.
