(James 1:2-4 NIV) Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

(Jer 18:1-4 KJV) The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.

This morning we continue our series entitled, “Re-Energizing Your Prayer Life,” by continuing to look at “What to Pray For.”

(Mark 4:19 KJV) The cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

(Mark 1:35 NIV) Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.

This morning we continue our series entitled, “Re-Energizing Your Prayer Life.” For the next few days I am going to cover 10 steps to preparedness in prayer. I pray these can serve as a list of things you can glance over to remind yourself of what to do in order to be effective in prayer.

(Gen 1:26 NIV) Then God (Elohim, the Creator God) said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

(Mark 1:35 NIrV) It was very early in the morning and still dark. Jesus got up and left the house. He went to a place where he could be alone. There he prayed.

This morning we take what I believe will be an extended pause from our Proverbs series, because I am led to teach on a topic that has been on my heart for quite some time.

(Prov 27:1 CEV) Don’t brag about tomorrow! Each day brings its own surprises. This morning we continue our series entitled, “Unlocking the Power of Proverbs – Walking in the Wisdom of God.”

(Prov 26:13 GW) A lazy person says, “There’s a ferocious lion out on the road! There’s a lion loose in the streets!”

(Prov 24:27 GNB) Don’t build your house and establish a home until your fields are ready, and you are sure that you can earn a living.

(Prov 23:4,5 GNB) Be wise enough not to wear yourself out trying to get rich. Your money can be gone in a flash, as if it had grown wings and flown away like an eagle.
