This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing” by continuing to teach on “Minimizing Your Humanity and Maximizing Your Divinity.” For the last few days we looked at what Jesus said in John 5:16-20.

(Read 1 Samuel 22-1-4) This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” After the awkward incident in Gath where David pretended to be a mad-man, scratching on doors and allowing saliva to run down his beard, David took off again. This time he fled to Adullam and he found refuge in a cave.

(1 Samuel 17:12-32) This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” Yesterday we left off the story with both armies mustered against each other, with nothing to separate them but the valley of Elah, and with Goliath (the giant) taunting the Israelite army and striking fear in their hearts. Let’s pick up the story from there.

(1Co 15:58 MSG) With all this going for us, my dear, dear friends, stand your ground. And don’t hold back. Throw yourselves into the work of the Master, confident that nothing you do for him is a waste of time or effort.

(John 11:45 NIV) Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary and had seen what Jesus did, put their faith in Him.

(John 11:25-28 NIV) Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.” And after she had said this, she went back and called her sister Mary aside. “The Teacher is here,” she said, “and is asking for you.”

(John 11:12-15 NIV) His disciples replied, “Lord, if he sleeps, he will get better.” Jesus had been speaking of his death, but his disciples thought he meant natural sleep. So then he told them plainly, “Lazarus is dead, and for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe. But let us go to him.”

(Mark 5:37-40 NIV) He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.

(Mark 5:37-40 NIV) He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. When they came to the home of the synagogue ruler, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” But they laughed at him. After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was.

(Mark 5:26 NIV) Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.” This morning we continue our new series entitled, “Faith and Patience VOL III – Never Give Up!” by continuing with the story of Jairus and his daughter. I hope you can see by now that walking/living by faith is not always going to be easy.

(Mark 5:22,23 NLT) Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.”

(1 Cor 14:14,15, 18-20) For if I pray in tongues, my spirit is praying, but I don’t understand what I am saying. Well then, what shall I do?

(Mat 8:14-16 NLT) When Jesus arrived at Peter’s house, Peter’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her.

(1 Tim 2:1 NIV) I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone.

(Phil 2:9,10 KJV) Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

(Isaiah 44:8 KJV) Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? Ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? Yea, there is no God; I know not any.

We serve a God who can show up as the Fourth Man in your fire!!!

(Prov 26:2 ERV) Don’t worry when someone curses you for no reason. Nothing bad will happen. Such words are like birds that fly past and never stop.

(Mat 26:75 NIV) Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.
