This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” In our last message we looked at how Christ redeemed us from condemnation. Once we embrace that and we live with a “No Condemnation” mentality, we are in a position to resist satan and to please God, even when we make a mistake.

(Read 1 Samuel 23:15-18) This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” When last we left David he was still on the run from Saul, roaming the countryside with his 600 men, and God was seeing to it that Saul could not find him. One day near Horesh, David received word that Saul was on the way to Ziph to search for him and kill him.

(Read 1 Samuel 23:13,14 NLT) So David and his men—about 600 of them now—left Keilah and began roaming the countryside. Word soon reached Saul that David had escaped, so he didn’t go to Keilah after all. David now stayed in the strongholds of the wilderness and in the hill country of Ziph. Saul hunted him day after day, but God didn’t let Saul find him.

(Read 1 Samuel 23:1-12) This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” While David was in Judah he received word that the Philistines were at Keilah stealing grain from the threshing floors and basically terrorizing the Israelites there. David asked the LORD, “Should I go and attack them?” It’s obvious that this time on the run had forced David to build a heavy dependency on the Lord.

(Read 1 Samuel 22:9-20) This morning we continue our series “Grace that is Simply Amazing.” Yesterday we left off with Saul being highly upset about the fact that David had made his way back into Judah. While Saul was upset with his men, one of them, Doeg the Edomite, spoke up and said, “When I was at Nob I saw the son of Jesse talking to the priest, Ahimelech son of Ahitub. Ahimelech consulted the LORD for David.
